WHAT: Fort Wayne Metals Habitat for Humanity Panel Build #1 “Because of community support like theirs two hardworking, deserving families can celebrate the start of a new chapter in their journey to achieving affordable homeownership.” During each Panel Build, Fort Wayne Metals will build all the walls for a Habitat home based on the Bauer home plan. “It’s been wonderful to work with Fort Wayne Metals and our partner families are blessed by their continued sponsorship,” shared Lindsay Hannah, Director of Development at Habitat for Humanity of GFW. Once built, Habitat will transport the finished walls to both homes in Mount Vernon Park where additional volunteer groups from other organizations and sponsors will complete the home. MANPOWER FORT WAYNE HOW TOEach day will engage up to 160 employees who will quickly learn from Habitat crew leads how to build all the exterior and interior walls of a home in less than 8 hours. In total, Fort Wayne Metals will host two Habitat panel build days at their headquarters: August 14 and September 18. Part of this assistance is also a commitment of manpower through two Habitat panel builds in the parking lot of our corporate office, and we’re excited to see our people come together to help.” This year, we have continued our financial support in helping to build two more houses in the 46806 neighborhood.
